The Landing Dockside – Libby & Dan

Welcome to another Real Life Wedding !

Well we’re smack bang in the middle of Wedding season at the moment and with 8 weddings in the last 8 days between myself and Lisa it’s just been crazy here !

I wish I could blog every wedding that we shoot as they’ve all been amazing but it’s just impossible with the time required on each post, so I’m restricted to one wedding per week !

Today the spotlight is on Libby & Dan’s beautiful Brisbane Wedding !

Tell us how you met

Libby & Dan met about 7 years ago on a night out at Fridays!

The proposal

Dan planned a very romantic proposal for Libby. He planted clues around Brisbane and had Libby embark on a scavenger hunt type journey.

Our Honeymoon: USA for a month!

Funniest Moment

Libby – my 6 year old neice, Zan, who was the flower girl announcing that she “just could not wait for Dan to see her in her dress”… It was a special day for little Zan.

Favourite Wedding Day moment

Libby – arriving at the Cathedral holding my Dad’s arm, and looking down the aisle and seeing Dan with a big beaming smile.

Dan – watching Lib walk down the aisle.

Special thanks to

Big thanks to both of our families and especially Libby’s mum, Caz, who was involved in planning every detail of the wedding. We also received tremendous support from our friends in helping to plan the big event!

A big thank you to our amazing reception MCs, Pete & Alex, and Bronte Orreal for singing Ave Maria at the ceremony and our fathers for both delivering very touching speeches.

What did you value most about using Ben Clark Photography ?

We had such a great experience with Ben! He was so much fun and immediately put everyone at ease – he has a great sense of humour and fun but is always the ultimate professional.

Ben was only too happy to take on additional roles throughout the day including pocket square adjustments, dishing out some choice ironing tips, couriering eskys and fixing buttonholes!

Advice for other brides-to-be

Try to have everything organised and finalised the week before the big day so that you’re not stressing at the last minute. Enjoy the day!

  1. I have never experienced such a wonderful day-The wedding of Lib & Dan.Everything run to perfection. To me it has been a once in a lifetime experience.Ben made it so much easier by running the photography in a very professional manner.
All the best for the future Lib & Dan,and “look to the stars”.
    Love ,Danny McCarthy.

  2. Brian and Toni McKillop

An amazing and wonderful wedding – so relaxed, warm and full of love. Ben helped to further that feeling with his helpful, supportive, confident, unobtrusive and creative input. The brilliant photos are testament to his professionalism and flare, but above all, he was fun and the photos reflect his ability to make the most important people of the day enjoy their own wedding.

  3. Classic photo of father of the groom (very Brian) and his gorgeous wife. Pleased to see cricket not forgotten. Congratulations to Daniel and Libby ….and the photographer.
