Tell us how you met
We both use to ride horses (Jock still does) and we met through that.
The proposal
Jock told me we were going for dinner with friends in London. He ended up organising a night in the May Fair Hotel in London and dinner at a great restaurant where he proposed.
I was starting to get a little suspicious when the table was set for two and our friends didn’t show!
The Details
Ceremony location: Summergrove Estate – Reception location: Summergrove Estate
Gown: Stella York – Shoes: Badgley Mischka – Wedding bands and engagement rings: Goldsmiths
Celebrant: Vanessa Linn – who was amazing! So many people commented on how well she ran the ceremony.
Decorator: Bek from Beautiful Weddings Gold Coast. The arbor and cake stands were made by my brother in-law, Ryan.
Hair: Amy Spry Hair – Hair piece/fascinator or hat: Mimco
Bridal party attire: Bridesmaids – Chi Chi London, Groom – Hugo Boss
Make-up: Melanie Jane Makeup Artist & Spray Tanning – Flowers: Carolyn Hyde (Carolyn Hyde Roses)
Stationery: DIY by me – Cake: Alex Niven, my ever talented brother! He made four different flavoured cupcakes and a wedding cake as well.
The gorgeous sugar flowers on the cake were made by my Dad’s mother in-law.

Our families were incredible, we would have struggled to get everything organised from the UK without them.
Also, every single supplier we had was amazing. I was worried it would be difficult being in another country but they made it extremely easy!
What did you value most about using Ben Clark Photography ?
From the very beginning Ben was excellent. It was so easy to organise even from the other side of the world.
Both Jock and I hate having our picture taken, but Ben managed to make it much less painful than we thought it would be!
He was great to have around on the day, light hearted and up for a laugh which made getting our photo taken a hell of a lot easier!
Advice for other brides-to-be
Don’t sweat the small stuff!
