Sanctuary Cove – Lauren & Justin 6th April

Welcome to our Real Life Weddings page !

This is where the spotlight shines on the amazing weddings that we photograph

Today the spotlight is on Lauren & Justin’s beautiful Sanctuary Cove Wedding !

Tell us how you met

We met 9 years ago while studying Exercise Physiology at University  in Brisbane

The proposal

Justin proposed during a holiday to Thailand in April 2011.  Mr romantic arranged a 5 course seafood dinner on a secluded private beach and later upgraded us to the honeymoon suite for the evening.

The Details

Ceremony location: The Chapel at Sanctuary Cove Intercontinental Resort – Reception location:  The Grange at Sanctuary Cove Intercontinental Resort

Gown:  Lauren wore a chifon, A-line gown with a beaded bodice designed by Jenny Packham. Wedding bands: All rings were custom made by LeGassick Jewellers.

Celebrant: Laurens second cousin Sue Starr was our celebrant – Wedding Coordinator:  Jodie Hunter-Smith

Hair: Prue and Sarah from Harpier – Veil:  I wore a custom made veil from Meg & Wren.

Owner and designer, Jennifer Constantinou, also one of my bridesmaids, used spare beading from my dress to make a detachable head piece that could be worn during the reception after the veil had come off.

Bridal party attire: The bridesmaids each wore a different colour, one shoulder cocktail gown from Alfred Angelo in pink, pistachhio and purple.

My bridesman wore a light grey suit and navy bowtie to match the navy suits worn by the groomsmen

Make-up: Prue and Sarah from Harpier – Flowers: Moss & Stone created stunning and colourful arrangements to perfectly match my chosen colours

Stationery: Julie Thomas, friend and owner of Graphic design company Everbrand designed all our stationary

Cake:  3 tiered red velvet and chocolate ganache cake deigned and made by Nicola Hunt.  Nicola hand made the delicate roses that adorned the cake and also incorporated our print from the stationary

Music:  The Groove Academy from Sydney kept everyone dancing until 2am.

Honeymoon:

We are off to South America for 4 weeks touring around Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Brazil

Funniest Moment:

During the final vows, as we were about to be pronounced husband and wife, the celebrant accidentally called Justin by my brothers name Jordan causing everyone to break out in fits of laughter

Favourite Wedding Day moment:

Justin – seeing Lauren walk down the aisle.

Lauren – walking off with my husband at the end of the night knowing we had had the most magical day

Special thanks to:

All the talented and amazing friends and family that added personal touches to our day and made it so special. Sue, Ele, Jen, Ju, Nic, Jodie and of course our mothers Adele and Jane.

In your experience what did you value most about using Ben Clark Photography ?

Ben and Lisa made us both feel comfortable right from our first meeting.  Ben gave excellent direction on our wedding day and knew all the best photographic locations at our venue which was important as we had limited time and sunlight due a late ceremony.  One of the highlights of our wedding was the slideshow Ben put together for the reception to show off some of the photos taken throughout the day.  It gave all our guests a sneak peek into our day and allowed them to share in moments that they may not get to see otherwise.  There wasn’t a dry eye in the house by the end of the show!!

We cant thank Ben and Lisa enough and would not hesitate to recommend Ben Clark Photography to anyone in the future.

Advice for other brides-to-be:

Let go and enjoy every moment as it really is the best day of your life.

The most important thing to remember is you are marrying the person you adore and you have all your favourite people to help celebrate with you both….what more could you really ask for!
