Tell us how you met

We met 3 and a half years ago at the Normanby Hotel in Brisbane on a cold Sunday night under a fateful gas heater.

The proposal

Jake had been trying to organise a weekend away to the Sunshine coast, and I kept refusing as it was only a few weeks away from Christmas and I had too much to do!

Little did I know he was trying so hard to plan the perfect proposal.

After a busy week at work I arrived home on a Friday afternoon to what I thought would be Jake watching the cricket. Instead I was greeted by Jake at the front door with questions about my day. I brushed him off and said I had to organise dinner. He then produced a bottle of French champagne, which I had always been promised the day he proposed. I then suddenly realized that my favourite song was playing, my favourite glasshouse candle was burning and something was up! It was then Jake asked me to marry him and gave me my beautiful ring. The afternoon was a blur and 10 minutes after coming home from work we were engaged. The best surprise!

Favourite Wedding Day moment

Relaxing with our guests after the formalities had wrapped up and enjoying the best Italian food in Brisbane!

Special thanks to

Our parents for their help – none of it would have been possible without them, and also Lorin’s Aunty Caroline for her help making the day so special as well. Our suppliers were all fantastic and so professional throughout the whole process and of course our amazing photographer for making us look so good 😉

In your experience what did you value most about using Ben Clark Photography ?

Ben is such a fun and relaxing guy and yet is so professional in his approach to making the day run so smoothly. We had no worries in handing over control to get some great shots and he was fantastic to work with.

Advice for other brides-to-be

Relax and have fun because at the end of the day you are marrying the one you love and nothing can take away from that.
