Caitlin & Daniel share their wedding story with us
Theme if any: 1920s style classic
Tell us how you met
We met at a mutual friend’s housewarming party.
Daniel caught my eye as he was wearing a mermaid costume which was designed for a small child. Our friendship groups merged from that night and we built a solid friendship before we got together.
The proposal
Daniel proposed when we were in Nice, France, which was about 6 months in to our 10 month overseas trip together.
After 6 months of traveling we wanted a night in, he cooked me dinner at our Air BnB and proposed to me at sunset after a day of doing my favourite things.

Funniest Moment
Walking around the streets getting photographs with our bridal party who were loudly singing corny love songs and attracting lots of attention haha.
Also losing my veil off the Tattersalls club balcony. It is probably still there today.
Favourite Wedding Day moment
Caitlin – walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing Daniel waiting at the end. Daniel – walking into the reception to see all our friends and family.
Special thanks to
Both of our sets of parents for supporting us and everything they did on the day.
What did you value most about using Ben Clark Photography ?
Ben was so easy to work with both in the lead up and on the day.
Everything from fast replies to emails and providing great advice on a variety of wedding-related topics.
He has been around weddings long enough that we were able to ask him anything.
He was invaluable on the day with so many little things we hadn’t thought of – like how to pin on boutonnieres!
Not to mention we were over the moon with the final product – our photographs!!
Advice for other brides-to-be
Be organised with a solid plan the week leading up to the day but be prepared for changes to the plans!
