Stamford Plaza – Andie & Aaron New Years Eve

Welcome to another Real Life Wedding !

Today the spotlight is on Andie & Aaron’s beautiful Brisbane Wedding !

Our gorgeous couple chose New Years Eve for their special day and what a magical day it was !

Tell us how you met

Aaron was friends with my sister and one night he stopped in as her and I were having pre drinks for a girls night out. After he left, I told Jess I thought he was pretty cute.

A few months later we were celebrating her birthday and he must have felt the same because we’ve been together ever since 🙂

The proposal

We started talking about marriage and our future plans very early on in our relationship. When valentines day (on a leap year) passed by, he kept making jokes about how

I had missed my chance to pop the question!

So the weekend of his birthday, I surprised him with a trip away and under the blue stars of glow worm poop, in a very dark cave, I broke tradition and asked him to be my husband.

I even asked his parents 🙂

Andie

‘The entire day was such a blur….

Everything flies by so fast! I loved having my Grandfather walk me down the isle but I just had to focus on Aaron’s face as I was so emotional that I thought I would cry

and not stop through the ceremony 🙂 Also Aaron and I had a bet which one of us would cry first.

Our windy mishap with the arbor was pretty funny 🙂

Our first dance, also a blur… Didn’t go to plan with both of us stepping on my dress but doing well not to fall over! We had so much fun!

Cutting the cake… Our first attempt was a fail, with us not being able to cut through…. I think we may have had the knife upside down?..’

Funniest Moment

When our wedding arbor crashed just after our vows!

Favourite Wedding Day moment

Saying I DO!

We had some great suppliers who really went above and beyond what we expected of them!

What did you value most about using Ben Clark Photography

( Ben & Lisa Clark) I can’t say enough good things about this amazingly talented husband and wife team! Anyone would be lucky to have these guys shoot their special event! Obviously talented, funny & easy going.

For me, who hates being photographed, made it super easy and fun 🙂 these two also recommended our awesome band…

Advice for other brides-to-be

Pick your suppliers carefully and have someone other than you to make judgement calls on the day so you can relax and enjoy the day uninterrupted. My bridesmaid hijacked my phone 🙂
