Tell us how you met
On this day (13/4) exactly 4 years ago in Thailand during Songkran (Thai New Year Water Festival) whilst both running around with giant super soakers strapped to ourselves.
Although nothing happened at the time, we exchanged Facebook details and 4 months later, coincidentally ended up at the snow at the same time to which prompted the beginning of us getting to know one another.
The proposal
Richard had told me we were getting breakfast and then going jet skiing.
He took me to the cafe of which we had our very first date and (without my even realizing) sat us at the exact same table.
Upon reviewing the menu I came across a new addition to the list –
AIMEES SPECIAL
This is where we had our 1st date, everyday since that day has been better than the last.
You have helped me grow as a person & every time I have needed someone you were always there by my side.
you are my soul mate, my lover and my best friend.
Would you do me the honour of allowing me to be your husband.
After reading this I looked up to find Richard on one knee with the ring and he asked ‘Will you marry me’.
Clearly I said yes and shortly after the cafe staff brought over a bottle of Moet and a beautiful bunch of red roses and lilies which Richard had arranged.

Special thanks to
Our Parents for not only all their support but for helping our day be everything that it could be and then some.
What did you value most about using Ben Clark Photography ?
Ben was not only supportive throughout the whole experience but he perfectly prepared us for the day.
He easily adapted to the environment and us (the bridal party & guests).
He explained everything to a level which we understood and was very in tune with our ideas and what we wanted not to mention was willing to have a laugh with us (or at us, im still not 100% sure) along the way.
Advice for other brides-to-be
Don’t sweat the small stuff.
Take every moment in. And most importantly, live the day for you and your soon to be husband. Have a ball.
