Date: 12th March 2016
Tell us how you met
We met in November 2009 in a nightclub through mutual friends. Basically boy saw girl dancing away, got his groove on and danced on over to her.
They locked eyes and had a sneaky smooch and then we exchanged numbers at the end of the night.
The proposal
Benji had a piece of art work created from the UK asking me to marry him. In the artwork was my favourite quote, the date we met, our nickname for each other and our full names.
Benji proposed on the side of Mt Coot-tha in a little clearing which you could see the entire city from.
I was sitting in the boot of my car unwrapping the artwork all excited for a present!
Benji dropped to one knee with that smile on his face and a tear in his eye. While I sat there asking him ‘are you serious?’ Over and over again until he said ‘ I am’.
And of course I said Yes!

Remember girls, when there’s tears, dab don’t wipe !
Good job Chloe !
That look that only a Cousin can give ..
Honeymoon
4 weeks in Thailand!!
Traveling and exploring through new cities and relaxing in a few of our favourites.
Funniest Moment
The best mans speech!
Steve, also Benji’s older brother, had everyone laughing and had us in tears with some of his stories and comments!
Favourite Wedding Day moment
We have 3, of course!
- Walking down Laurel Avenue just the 2 of us talking together not paying attention to anybody else around us.
- Half way through the reception we went back to the courtyard where the ceremony was and took a moment to ourselves. Listening to all our friends and family laughing, chatting and singing upstairs was just magical.
- Singing ‘Burning ring of fire’ as we went through the sparkler tunnel!
Special thanks to
Sarah-Jayne from Cake That! for coming to the rescue with only 5 weeks notice for a cake!
What did you value most about using Ben Clark Photography?
For 2 people who don’t like having their picture taken, Ben made us feel so at ease and comfortable the entire day.
Also his patience while setting up for photos, our bridal party weren’t the most serious of people.
Advice for other brides-to-be
Have the wedding you want!
You don’t have to take on board everyone’s opinions. Listen to your gut.
It doesn’t matter if something goes wrong or is missing, nobody except you will know and the day will still be as incredible as you wished for!
