High Church Brisbane – Kelsey & Duane

High Church Brisbane

Welcome to another gorgeous wedding !

Kelsey & Duane were married at High Church Brisbane surrounded by family & friends.

Date: Monday 7 September 2015

Tell us how you met

Duane and I met in 2010 when we worked together at the XXXX Brewery, although we didn’t get along so well at first.

Two years later Duane finally made a move and I told him I refused to date a colleague, although I was completely in love already! The next week I travelled to the UK for a month and we spoke every single day.

When I returned home he had quit his job at the brewery and took me on our first official date on a picnic down by the river. We have basically lived together ever since!

The proposal

To give a bit of a background story, we like to get a goofy photo with Santa each Christmas. On Christmas Eve in 2013 we were in New York and lined up for 3 hours to get the classic Santa pic at Macy’s.

It was there on Santa’s lap that Duane proposed, and we have an awesome montage of photos as the photographer kept snapping away as it unfolded!

Honeymoon

Cruising in the Whitsundays (after a pre-wedding trip to Egypt and Jordan!)

Funniest Moment

Watching Duane and his brothers and Father doing the ‘Time Warp’ (I think that one was just after you left unfortunately Ben!)

Favourite Wedding Day moment

Finally seeing Duane standing at the altar after all the anticipation

Special thanks to

All of our wonderful vendors on the day… and our friends and family who helped share our special day and ensured everything ran smoothly before and after the day too.

What did you value most about using Ben Clark Photography ?

Ben made everything so easy.

The photography was the absolute most important part of the day for us aside from the marriage itself and Ben didn’t fail to deliver.

Advice for other brides-to-be

Set aside some time after the ceremony to share just the two of you.
