Tell us how you met:
Cameron and I met through a mutual friend seven years ago. She invited me to dinner and had forgot to mention there would be seven eligible bachelors coming along!
She had originally tried to set me up with one of the other six bachelors but I only had eyes for Cam.
Cam travelled with the ring all the way over to America on our holiday.
Tried to propose three times in the three weeks we were away. First attempt was while ice skating in New York on Christmas day.
Two minutes before he got the courage to propose, he noticed clapping and cheering in the centre of the rink, someone else had beat him to it!
Next was at the boat house for dinner that night and realised that he didn’t even have the ring with him.
Third time lucky was on our second last day of our holiday in Aspen.
We had organised a horse drawn sleigh ride to a cabin lit with fairy lights and candles. Just before dessert Cam got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife
Ceremony location: I had always dreamt of getting married the beautiful Gabbinbar Homestead. Since they built the pavillion it made for the perfect setting.
Reception location: Gabbinbar Homestead is absolutely stunning! It was a dream come true to have our wedding there. The whole experience was perfect and I wouldn’t have changed a thing!
Gown: Berrosi Bride, Paddington Weddings. The ladies at Paddington weddings couldn’t have done enough for me. The whole experience from when I first walked in to try on dresses to when I left for the last time with my wedding dress was amazing! I couldn’t recommend them highly enough, they are beautiful ladies.
Wedding bands and engagement rings: Toowoomba family business Hogans Family Jewellers.
Celebrant/priest/other: We had the privilege of having our minister Bruce Allder perform our ceremony.
Wedding Coordinator: Hannah Echart from Gabbinbar Homestead was beautiful. Every meeting we had she was very professional and accommodating to all of our requests for our day. She did a brilliant job of ensuring our day went smoothly.
Decorator: Tamara White from White Weddings and Event Hire was great. She took the time to understand exactly how we wanted our day to be and made it come to life.
Hair: Leanne White from Lush Hair. Ive known Annie for around 15 years, she wasn’t going to let me walk down the aisle unless I loved my hair and it was nothing short of perfect! It was really special to have Annie with me on my wedding day.
Hair piece/fascinator or hat: I wore a veil during our ceremony and photos. The beautiful ladies at Paddington Weddings made a gorgeous hair piece with a bow for me to wear during our reception.
Bridal party attire: Bridesmaids wore stunning dresses from Forever New and the groomsmen wore suits from Ferrari Formalwear.
Make-up: Amy Mylea made all of us girls look flawless on the day. She is amazing at what she does!
Flowers: Emma from Echo and Indigo. Emma arranged our garland and bouquets for the day.
Reception Flowers- Kimmons Family.
Stationery: Colleen from Devereux Creative. Colleen was apart of our entire progress from engagement party invitations right through to our Thank you cards. Colleen went above and beyond for every little detail for our invitations and stationary.
Cake: Samantha from Cake and Spoon. Sam is a very talented cake maker who did our engagement and wedding cake. Everyone loved the cake! and it was Gluten Free!
Entertainment at Ceremony- We had the privileged of the beautiful Kimmons Family play while I walked down to Cameron, a hymn during our service and also a beautiful song as we signed the register.
Entertainment: We were lucky enough to have the talented James Anderssen sing during our garden party and at our reception. He was amazing and willing to learn a few songs for us for the day.
We spent nine nights in Bali in a luxurious villa where we enjoyed swimming, relaxing, daily massages and cooking classes!
Funniest Moment: Cameron attempting to graciously lay across the bridesmaids for a photo and almost falling on the floor!
Favourite Wedding Day moment:
There are so many! But i think walking down the aisle with my Dad by my side to Cameron was my favourite.
Favourite Wedding Day moment: Cameron’s favourite moment was saying I do and our first kiss as husband and wife.
Special thanks to:
Our friends and family for sharing our special day. It meant the world to us to have everyone we love and care about to be in the same place to celebrate with us.
What did you value most about using Ben Clark Photography ?
Ben is an incredible person and photographer. From the moment I first spoke to Ben I knew we wanted him to be apart of our day.
He made us feel relaxed and comfortable right from the beginning. Ben has such a wonderful personality, he is laid back and easy going and felt like part of the family. We love Ben!
Advice for other brides-to-be:
As its easier said then done, try to not stress and enjoy the whole process.
On our day whatever came up I knew it was out of my hands and that I had done everything i possible could before the day for it to be perfect.
The days goes so fast just enjoy every moment of it. xxx
