Tell us how you met

We met on a blind date on the Kookaburra Queen boat

The proposal

I proposed to Alex on Kings Beach on the 18th of January 2015 as the sun was coming up over the water.

I told her to get up early to see the sunrise as it was going to be a special one.

Being the last day before she went back to work she complained profusely at getting up at 4am, but on sunrise as the sun broke the water on a perfectly clear day I got down on one knee and pulled out a

ring and asked her to be my wife, she said yes and it was the most amazing sunrise she’d ever witnessed.

Special thanks to

Kevin Bourke, the Smith family, the Moroney family, Brad Townsend, Michael Axtell, Tero Jelekainen, Tony Arhanic, Barbara Thomson, Gemma Beckett, Amanda Hebson, the staff at Fix Restaurant, Cassie Visser, Vas for the cake, Jane from Flowers by Jane, Leah Svanberg, all our guests that attended, Linsay Coleman and crew from England who couldn’t make it but sent an awesome video/telegram in their absence and last but not least Ben Clark.

What did you value most about using Ben Clark Photography ?

Everything. He’s like a ghost and a sniper, he’s everywhere, but never seen, nailing every shot and with his relaxed humorous personality he gets along with all the guests, keeping everyone smiling.

Advice for other brides-to-be

Be organised, take everything in as it really does go so fast, enjoy every moment and don’t worry about a little rain.

Advice for other couples from the groom

Things will go different to what you planed on the day. Everything happens for a reason so don’t get upset, laugh and enjoy and embrace it like that was how you planned it.

Also one last tip, if getting a photo of the rings getting put on the fingers in the ceremony is important like it is to me, then pause when you have placed it half way on the finger for a few seconds, then push it all the way on as the photographer only gets one shot at getting this photo.

So if you are like me and don’t want to miss this photo, take this advice on board.

Thanks again Ben Clark as you’re a champion.
