Customs House Wedding Photography
Photographed by Brisbane Wedding Photographer By Ben Clark
Today the spotlight is on Jessicaโs and David’s beautiful Brisbane wedding !
I first met Jess when she was a bridesmaid at Melissa & Lance’s wedding a couple of years ago.
We then ran into each other again at Jess & James’s wedding in 2013 and this past week I had the pleasure of photographing her wedding.
What a gorgeous couple these two make and with two beautiful locations including Old Government House and Customs House a little storm wasn’t going to dampen our spirits ..
30 minutes before the ceremony was due to start and just as guests were arriving the heavens opened with thunder & lightning and wind squalls that took down a nearby tree !
As we waited out the thunder storm that was almost too perfectly timed to believe the remaining guests arrived and we were underway !
The rest of the day continued without incidentย and it wasn’t long before we were out and about with our bridal party shoot.
With Customs House as the reception venue and the beautiful Brisbane River as a backdrop the night was just beautiful with heartfelt speeches and a first dance worthy of dancing with the stars !
One of the many highlights for me was catching up with Jess & James & Melissa & Lance again, Mel’s turn to be bridesmaid this time !
Below are a few details that Jess has kindly passed on

The proposal
Took place at the top of Mt Wellington in Hobart after David successfully put together a fake competition through work which had a top prize of a fully paid holiday to Hobart.
Jess fell for the competition hook line and sinker to enable David to drop down on one knee with Jess completely unawares!
