Brisbane Polo Club – Chase & Chris 29th September

Welcome to our Real Life Weddings page !

This is where the spotlight shines on all of the amazing weddings that we shoot !

Today the spotlight is on Chase & Chris’s beautiful Brisbane Polo Club Wedding !

Theme: Colour theme – black, white & silver.

General theme for the reception was travel – we had just returned from an 18-month working holiday (living in London) so we named all our tables after places we visited in the past 18 months. The bonbonnieres were silver luggage tags.

The proposal:

October 2010 (a long time ago now) in Dalby (our former home). It was a Friday night and I had just returned from a week-long work trip and was quite exhausted. I had changed into my daggiest grey tracksuit (complete with Snoopy jumper) and was sitting on the couch when Chris proposed – on bended knee with the ring and a bunch of flowers. About 20 minutes later, while we were ringing our families, there was a knock on the door. To my absolute shock (and delight), 5 of my closest friends were standing there – Chris has asked them to travel out to Dalby (2 of whom flew up from Sydney) to join a surprise dinner – he had everything organised and ready to go in the garage. So we had a small engagement party with about 10 people in total – and it turned into quite a raucous night.

 Funniest Moment:

When Chris got confused on which hand to put my wedding band! The engagement ring being on the right hand instead of the left threw him!

Favourite Wedding Day moment:

All of it!

Special thanks to:

Alex Mobbs, who gave up his Saturday to drive an old London Taxi around Brisbane!

In your experience what did you value most about using Ben Clark Photography?

His casual, easygoing attitude and sense of humor. We really enjoyed hanging out with him!

Advice for other brides-to-be:

It’s as stressful (or as stressfree) as you make it!
