Blackbird Bar & Grill Wedding – Sammy & James

Photography by Ben Clark Photography

Date: 23 April 2016

Tell us how you met

We met on the 8th of Feb 2014 @ the Mill – I had been on a girls day for Cassie’s Birthday and James had been at his Dad’s birthday – he arrived pretty late to the pub to celebrate Sandra’s birthday and needed to play catch ups with his buddies – so ordered a tray of shots.

I spotted James at the bar and stole a shot from his tray……

The proposal

James got a nice Vintage bottle of bubbles – some yummy cheeses for a platter and we went down to Kangaroo Point – Beautiful Afternoon – he had Jack Johnson playing and then James got down on one knee and popped the question……

Obviously I said YES!!!

Funniest Moment

There were a lot of funny moments throughout the day – I do remember doing the loudest burp after finishing a beer at the Mill during photos – I think I even shocked Ben with that one 🙂

Favourite Wedding Day moment: Sammy

The Limo ride with my Dad was a really nice moment and also of course when I saw James at the arbor all my nerves suddenly eased

Favourite Wedding Day moment: James

When I saw Sammy coming around the trees and then getting a proper look at Sammy while she walked down the Aisle

Special thanks to

Everyone really – all of our family and friends made it the perfect day and night

What did you value most about using Ben Clark Photography ?

Ben has a great way with making people feel relaxed catching great natural shots…..

I also loved the blog that he sent us early on in the piece it had some great advise about things like bouquet size etc…..

He also made sure he captured the important shots – first kiss, family shots and dancing.

Advice for other brides-to-be

Enjoy the Ride !
