While I was up on Daydream Island photographing a gorgeous wedding, back in Brisbane the Queensland awards were taking place
As a Brisbane wedding photographer I get to photograph lots and lots of weddings which I absolutely love doing but come the awards I also like to enter different categories and diversify a little
It’s good for the soul to step outside of your comfort zone and challenge yourself
So this year I entered 4 prints into the travel category and was over the moon to receive 4 Silver with Distinction awards.
This put me into the running to take out Qld Travel Photographer of the year along with 2 other Photographers
As fate would have it I came in runner up and was named as a finalist .. So close !
These image went on to receive Golds & Gold distinctions at the AIPP National awards – yay !
So here are my 4 images all photographed on my USA trip in 2014.
