Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove Wedding

Kauai & Dylan share their wedding story with us..

Wedding Theme Rustic/Romantic

Tell us how you met

We met at the end of the airport runway in Nauru, I was doing a community project, cleaning the beach with other volunteers and Dylan was filming the plane take off and we happened to spot each other and a week later we were on our first date back here in Brisbane 🙂

The proposal

It happened on Christmas Day 2015 on the beach I grew up on in Nauru, our two families were across the road at my Grandparents place. It had been pouring rain all day and just stopped as the sun was setting.
Dylan asked me if I wanted to go for a walk on the beach and there he knelt down on one knee and asked me to be his wife.
It was the most gorgeous thing!

Funniest moment

The whole day was full of fun and laughter but I think losing a car of groomsmen on the way to take photos after the ceremony was up there.

Favourite Wedding Day moment

Walking down the aisle and seeing each other, it was so magical, especially being surrounded by all our loved ones.

Special thanks to

All the suppliers were so wonderful in making everything come together and us literally not having to worry about a thing on the day.
The Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove were so accommodating, especially for our large number of guests.
Last and definitely not least, our family and friends for being so supportive and making our day a very special and memorable one.

What did you value most about using Ben Clark Photography?

Ben and Lisa were so great!
As soon as we both met Ben about 6 months before our big day, he made us both feel so comfortable, he was so helpful not only with the photography side of things but giving us contacts and communicating with us very frequently.
He gave us our first real feeling of ‘wedding fever’.
On the day, everything ran so smoothly and Ben and Lisa were so much fun and very calm (considering we had 14 in the bridal party! And 180 guests!)
Thank you so much once again, our photo’s and album are absolutely amazing!

Advice for other brides-to-be

Enjoy every moment and stay by each other’s side! It is an absolutely magical day!

Thank you Kauai & Dylan for sharing your amazing wedding with us !
