The proposal
Ryan had attempted on many occasion to ‘pop the question’ but I kept getting in the way – on one occasion we were eating at an upscale restaurant and I had no idea that he was planning on proposing here. I looked around the room and it was so quiet and not very ‘us’ and I actually told him, ‘I would hate it if anyone proposed to me here’. Needless to say he had to re-think his plan at this point. After a few more failed attempts at popping the question, he finally dragged me out of bed at 5am one morning and took me to the top of Mount Cootha where he dropped to one knee and asked me to be his wife.

Special thanks to:
Our families for helping with our DIY decor. It was such a HUGE job painting doors, making hooks & flower chandeliers and cooking canapes for guests but it all looked and tasted beautiful and added to the atmosphere on the day.
In your experience what did you value most about using Ben as your photographer ?
Knowing that we were in capable hands really took the stress out of our day. Ben and Lisa are true professionals; they can ‘go-with-the-flow’ and adapt to any situation and/or surroundings. P.s. I hope you had an AMAZING birthday celebration, Lisa!
Advice for other brides-to-be:
Follow your instinct. If you’re not happy with a particular supplier then find someone who will jump at the chance to help create what you envisage for your day. And enjoy the day but prepare for an awesome marriage too!
