Tell us how you met
We met through mutual friends about 8 years before we started dating. After many years of seeing Dirk’s photos of his overseas travels I decided I wanted to join in – and he helped me get into working on luxury yachts.
It was on the first day that I arrived that the romance started and the rest is history.
The proposal
The proposal was on bended knee on the balcony of our St Bart’s villa overlooking the Caribbean sunset.

Funniest Moment
Our best man gave the most emotion packed speech and I would definitely say that despite the fact I was crying, I was also laughing until my stomach hurt!
Favourite Wedding Day moment
It’s really hard to just pick one but I’d have to say, we wrote our own vows and saying them in front of our closest friends and family was truly special.

What did you value most about using Ben Clark Photography ?
Oh geez where do I start?
From the first time I spoke with Ben I could tell he was someone who you would want to have around you on your wedding day –
I’m not a huge fan of having my photo taken and neither is my husband so having someone who could make us feel relaxed and comfortable on the day was priority.
Ben is so good at what he does, you’d be excused for thinking it was one of your friends is behind that camera lens. We had so much fun and not once did Ben put us into some contrived pose – everything was natural and relaxed which is exactly what I wanted.
Our guests loved him too!
Advice for other brides-to-be
I’m sure every bride answers the same thing to this question but it really is true what they say – The day goes SO fast so try to take a moment or two to stop and take it all in.
